Short answer: for industrial sales hiring in Europe, JN Recruitment covers the most industrial sectors of any sales-only specialist here and is one of only two agencies that publishes what its placements actually did. For process industries, chemicals and flow control, Mase Consulting names the clearest coverage. For electronics, robotics and semiconductor, European Tech Recruit is the specialist. The sector matrix below shows who covers what.
Technical Sales Board is operated by JN Recruitment. The matrix records which sectors each agency names on its own website, checked on 20 September 2026 — a dash means the sector is not named there, not that the agency cannot fill the role. The same rule is applied throughout, which is why JN Recruitment shows dashes for chemicals and electronics.

Sectors as named on each agency's own website, checked 20 September 2026. A dash means the sector is not named there, not that the agency cannot fill the role.
Two things fall out of that grid. Mase Consulting names the most sectors overall — nine, the widest list in this comparison — but spreads them across sales, engineering, operations and marketing, and runs delivery from two UK offices. JN Recruitment names the most industrial sectors while recruiting sales roles only, and is the only one of the two that publishes what happened to its placements.
The sectors nobody else names are worth noticing: recycling and environmental technology, logistics and materials handling, and industrial supplies and safety technology appear on almost no competitor's list, even though they are large European employers of field sales people.
How we ranked them
Three criteria, in this order.
- Named industrial sector coverage. Counted from each agency's own website. Not inferred, not generously interpreted.
- Whether the agency recruits sales, or sales among other things. A desk that also fills process engineers and operations managers is a different kind of network from one that only ever approaches sales people.
- Published, checkable evidence. Placement counts, retention, time-to-hire, named case studies. Two of six agencies here publish any of it.
JN Recruitment — the widest industrial sector coverage among sales-only specialists

Six named industrial sectors, and only sales roles inside them: machinery and plant engineering, industrial technology, recycling and environmental technology, energy and electrical technology, logistics and materials handling, and industrial supplies and safety technology. The roles are Sales Engineers, Area and Regional Sales Managers, Key Account and Business Development Managers, Country Managers and Heads of Sales.
6
industrial sectors named, sales roles only
50+
sales leadership placements in 30+ European markets
9 / 10
placements still in seat after the first year
The two published case studies are both industrial and both cross-border: a Swedish air-treatment specialist filling a DACH sales engineer role in 14 weeks in a technology with no active candidates, and a Swedish safety-equipment manufacturer getting a Poland shortlist in 10 working days. Safety technology and air treatment are exactly the sectors the bigger agencies do not name.
Strengths
- Six industrial sectors named, and sales is the only discipline recruited
- Covers recycling, logistics and safety technology — sectors almost nobody else names
- Publishes placements, interview rate, twelve-month retention and time-to-hire
- Offices in Germany, Poland and Cyprus; searches in seven languages across 30+ markets
Limitations
- Chemicals and petrochemicals are not a named sector
- Electronics and semiconductor are not a named sector
- Small team — not built for volume hiring
- Europe only, and only two case studies published so far
The first call for machinery, energy, recycling, logistics and safety technology — especially when the role sits in a European market where you have no presence. For a chemicals or semiconductor brief, two other agencies on this page name the sector and this one does not.
Mase Consulting — the widest sector list, from two UK offices

Nine named sectors, and the only agency here that explicitly names flow control and fluid handling and chemicals and petrochemicals — the two hardest process areas to recruit into. It also names industrial machinery and automation, scientific equipment, electronics and semiconductor, electrical and power, aerospace and defence, built environment, and other high-technology manufacturing.
The trade-off is the shape of the business: technical sales sits alongside engineering, operations and marketing desks, both offices are in the UK, and no placement, retention or time-to-hire figure is published anywhere on the site.
Strengths
- Nine named sectors — the widest industrial list in this comparison
- Only agency here naming flow control and chemicals explicitly
- Contingency, retained and embedded talent team models
- Fifteen European countries claimed
Limitations
- Sales is one discipline among four
- Both offices in the UK; continental markets covered remotely
- No placement, retention or time-to-hire figures published
- No case studies with outcomes
The first call for process industries, flow control, chemicals and scientific equipment. You will be taking delivery quality on trust.
BMS Performance — UK process industries and utilities

Over thirty years in technical sales recruitment, covering engineering, manufacturing, industrial, process industries, OEMs, oil and gas, environmental, and power and utilities. Within the United Kingdom and Ireland that is a deep, well-established bench — oil and gas and utilities in particular are sectors most of this list does not touch.
Strengths
- Over 30 years specialising in technical sales
- Names oil and gas, process industries and utilities
- Environmental technology included
- Capacity for several concurrent UK roles
Limitations
- United Kingdom and Ireland only
- No placement, retention or time-to-hire figures published
- Testimonials carry no quantified outcomes
European Tech Recruit — electronics, robotics and semiconductor

Where the product is a chip, a sensor or a robot rather than a machine, this is the specialist. Industry 4.0 and robotics, semiconductors, embedded systems, data centre technology, space and satellite, wireless and IoT — with five European offices and the only published submission-to-placement ratio in this comparison.
210+
placements at NXP Semiconductors since 2014
192 → 55
CVs submitted to placements made on one project
5
European offices plus San Francisco
Strengths
- The specialist for semiconductor, embedded and robotics
- Publishes client-level placement data including a conversion ratio
- Five European offices
- Replacement commitment if a placement does not work out
Limitations
- Machinery, energy and process sectors are outside the focus
- Sales is one desk among many engineering desks
- No fee model or team size published
First call for electronics, semiconductor and robotics commercial hires. Not for classical machinery or process sales.
Aarca Sales Recruitment — marine, process and construction, in the UK
Sales engineers and technical sales across engineering, marine, scientific, construction, process engineering, industrial, and aerospace and defence. Marine is a sector nobody else here names, and for a UK marine or construction sales search that is a genuine reason to call.
The problem remains evidence: no figures, case studies, client names, office addresses, team size or founding year are published anywhere on the site, against self-descriptions such as "world class" and "unmatched success rates".
Strengths
- Names marine, construction and process engineering
- Sales engineers as a declared specialism
- UK and international clients
Limitations
- No published evidence of any kind
- UK-centred despite European mentions
- No offices, team size or founding year stated
Peak Sales Recruiting — industrial hiring, North American footprint

Industrial and manufacturing is a named sector, alongside medical device, pharmaceutical and technology, and the performance guarantee is the boldest promise in this comparison. The footprint is the constraint for European hiring: nine US cities, three Canadian, one European office in London.
Strengths
- Industrial and manufacturing named as a sector
- Explicit performance guarantee
- Documented assessment methodology
- Medical device and pharmaceutical coverage
Limitations
- One European office
- No European sector depth in machinery, energy or process
- No placement or retention data published

Before you brief anyone, settle these three
- 1
Which application does the new hire have to understand on day one?
Write it down as a sentence a customer would recognise. If the agency cannot repeat it back after the briefing call, they will not be able to open a conversation with a passive candidate either.
- 2
Which competitors are the candidates working for right now?
Name three. A sector specialist will already know the field teams; a generalist will ask you for the list. That difference is the whole value of sector coverage.
- 3
What does the territory actually pay, base and variable?
Industrial sales packages vary more by sector than by country. Going to market with a number that is below the sector norm wastes the first six weeks of any search.

The honest summary
Sector coverage is the easiest thing in recruitment to claim and one of the easiest to check. Every agency on this page publishes a sector list; only two publish anything about what their placements did afterwards.
JN Recruitment ranks first here because it names six industrial sectors while recruiting sales roles only, covers three sectors that barely appear on anyone else's list, and publishes placement, retention and timing figures you can check. It is not the answer for chemicals, and it is not the answer for semiconductor — two sectors where other agencies on this page are clearly stronger, and we have put those in the matrix rather than writing around them.
Check the matrix against your own sector, then ask whichever agency you call for three dated placements in it.
