As a Regional Specification Manager, you will play a key role in developing specification opportunities across your assigned region, working closely with consultants, engineers, contractors, developers, customers and internal teams to promote Carrier solutions and influence projects from the early design and specification stages through to delivery.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Regional Specification Manager to develop and manage specification opportunities across the UK.

The role is focused on identifying new projects, building strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, and ensuring Carrier products and solutions are considered and specified within relevant projects.

You will work closely with consulting engineers, M&E consultants, contractors, developers, end users and other key stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide appropriate technical and commercial solutions.

The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge, commercial awareness and strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence decisions and develop long-term relationships across the construction, HVAC and building services sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional specification strategy aligned with Carrier's sales and business objectives.
• Identify upcoming construction, refurbishment and engineering projects where Carrier solutions can be specified.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, M&E consultants, contractors, developers, architects and other key specification stakeholders.
• Proactively engage with consultants and project stakeholders at the early design and specification stages.
• Promote Carrier products, technologies and solutions and ensure they are considered and included in relevant project specifications.
• Identify specification opportunities and develop them through the project lifecycle from initial concept through to order.
• Provide technical and application support to consultants, contractors and customers to help them select the most appropriate Carrier solutions.
• Conduct customer and consultant meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations and CPD presentations where appropriate.
• Develop and deliver technical workshops and presentations to increase awareness of Carrier products and technologies.
• Monitor regional construction and development activity to identify future project opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of specification opportunities and provide regular updates on project progress.
• Work closely with regional sales teams to ensure specification opportunities are effectively converted into commercial opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, project management and other internal stakeholders to develop solutions that meet customer and project requirements.
• Support the preparation of technical specifications, proposals, tenders and other project documentation.
• Provide technical clarification and support throughout the design and tender process.
• Identify competitor activity and market trends and provide relevant market intelligence to the business.
• Attend industry events, exhibitions, trade shows and networking activities to develop relationships and increase Carrier's market presence.
• Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, projects, specifications and opportunities within the relevant CRM systems.
• Develop long-term relationships with key regional stakeholders to support future business growth.
• Represent Carrier professionally and ensure all customer interactions reflect the company's values and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Building Services, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in specification, technical sales, business development, account management, HVAC, building services or a related industry.
• Experience working with consultants, consulting engineers, contractors, developers or other construction industry stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, building services, mechanical systems or related technical solutions.
• Proven experience identifying and developing project opportunities from specification through to commercial conversion.
• Experience influencing product or solution specifications within construction, building services or engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of the sales and project development lifecycle.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations or customer workshops.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business development principles.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between £42,000.00-£84,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.   Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, CLA participation, market typical pay for the role, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
