This position reports to:

Product Marketing Team Manager

Join ABB in Brno as an Area Sales Manager in our Medium Voltage Switchgear unit. You’ll drive sales across international markets, manage customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities.

We offer a strong team, quality products, an established customer base, daily use of English, and international customer visits and business trips.

Your responsibilities

• Drive sales and represent the ABB brand across assigned international markets
• Identify new customers, business opportunities and leads in cooperation with local ABB organizations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and visits
• Represent ABB at trade fairs, exhibitions and industry seminars
• Contribute to the development of the sales strategy
• Support and execute marketing activities
• Provide technical advice and tailored solutions to customers
• Collaborate with internal ABB teams to deliver projects, especially with the Bid Engineering team on technical and commercial offers
• Monitor market trends and gather competitive intelligence

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant professional experience in the electrical industry
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• Ability to read technical electrical documentation and provide technical advice and tailored solutions
• English at B2 level; additional languages are an advantage
• Fluent Czech or Slovak
• Independent, proactive and team-oriented approach with strong commercial thinking and a drive to build long-term win-win relationships
• Professional and confident communication skills
• Willingness to travel internationally
